One of Italy`s most sought after seaside tourist resort is an international tourist attraction centre like Taormina and Portofino.

Tropea was a Greek colony, then was occupied by the Romans and later by the Normans. Remains of old necropolises and over 3000 years old Greek buildings were recovered at the ancient harbour.

The rocky outcrop of Santa Maria is characteristic with a Sanctuary of “Santa Maria dell`Isola”. The small streets and medieval buildings aristocratic palaces invite you for a walk.

Tropea is famous in the world, as well for tourism, also for the red onion.
