Pizzo is on a promontory high up above the Tirreno Sea, in the middle of the Golfo of Sant’Eufemia. The centre of this small town is rich in medieval views, elegant residences, ancient Churches including that of Piedigrotta excavated in the tuff. The most interesting repertory is the Aragonese Castle (national monument) in which Gioacchino Murat was imprisoned and executed. Pizzo is renewed for the production of a typical ice-cream: the “tartufo”.
SERRA SAN BRUNO

Locri is a town of 12.000 inhabitants in the province of Reggio Calabria. It is the administrative, cultural and religious centre of Locride, on the coast of Ionian Sea.
